The climate of the state of Washington is predominantly characterized by two major components, the Cascaded Mountains & the prevalent north western winds. Washington has four distinct seasons namely summer, winter, Spring & Autumn.
Western Washington has weather similar to middle & south eastern coast of the Atlantic though it is known to receive one of the highest amounts of rainfall. On the contrary, eastern Washington’s climate is characterized by hot summers, chilled winters & light amount of rainfall. Due to climatic variables, coastal areas receiving moderate rainfall host a whole lot of temperate rain forests while the dry southern coasts has a lot of dry deserts.
Going by factual data, one would get to know that temperatures portray a more extreme trend in Eastern Washington compared to its west. In western Washington along the slopes of mountains, weather offices record January temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degree C) to 48 degrees F (9 degree C) in coastal areas. In summer months of July, temperatures soar between 44 degrees F (7 degree C) & 80 degrees F (27 degrees C). Summers are warmer as said above, when temperatures typically hang around between 48 degrees F (9 degrees C) in the Cascaded mountainous part & 92 degrees F (33 degrees C) at the epicenter of Washington.

The west parts of the cascade experience around 200 inches of yearly snowfall whereas in the eastern part of the cascades, average yearly snowfall is merely about 6 inches.
Depending on these weather conditions that prevail in Washington State and the climate zone, warmest of winter clothes are required in the winter season and summers can be dealt with medium or light weighed clothing.

Washington is located in the North West region of Pacific Ocean in the United States. Its location in the country is to the south of Canada and British Columbia, to the north side of Oregon and to the west side of Idaho
The climatic condition in Washington State greatly varies depending on the zone. These zones are the west and the east zone. There are extreme variations in respect to temperatures and rain due the division of Washington on the basis of zone. The western part experiences a marine climate and the eastern part experiences drier climatic conditions. The reason for this variation is the presence of large semi-permanent low pressure and high pressure behavior of the northern part of Pacific Ocean, and the cascade and Olympic Mountains.

The high force anti cyclone system that rules over north of Pacific Ocean, causes the air to move in clock wise route and spiral. This happens in summers and spring. This is an indication of cool breeze and a dry season. In the seasons of winter and autumn, low force cyclones occur and the air spirals in an anti clock wise direction. This results in moist and warm air with a rainy season.
The temperature varies vastly in Washington State. The windward side of the Cascade Mountains experience high precipitation with cool and mild temperature and the leeward side experience low levels of precipitation with snow falls. Most part of the east Washington is covered with pasture. The western part of Washington is famous for its cloud cover, mild climate and fog. Rainfall also varies a lot in Washington. The west receives a rainfall of about 160 inches. Sometimes, weeks and months pass without a single clear day. The west receives snowfall of about 200 inches. The eastern part receives a precipitation of 6 inch only.

Washington is the capital state of United State. This state has it all; being the most important state of United States it has a perfect mixture of everything, the culture, the art, the sports and everything else. Washington has the parliament, the White House and therefore is the political hub of the country. Being the political hub of the Great American country it hosts a lot of crimes as well. The state of Washington though has a great security and tight police control it has whole bunch of crimes listed to its history. The state of Washington has the culture of the true Native Americans. The people here are the natives of America and have a life style of the old American mentality. Due to the global recession all over the world this state has been suffering major down turn. People have lost their jobs and thus unemployment has increased. This thus has led to the increase in the crimes especially among the middle class Americans. There have been two types of crimes they indulge into property crime and financial crimes. The property crime is the one in which people buy property on loans from banks and default the loans, this crime has been a major setback to the state of Washington. The other financial crimes involve pick pocket, duping people and other violent criminal activities. With the advent of the global recession in the country, the crimes have increased two folds due to unemployment and lack of source of income. The state of Washington has strict rules against the criminal activities which are responsible for patrolling the crimes.

PEOPLE AND CARE

Washington state became one of the first states in unites states that targeted all types of excessively toxic brominated flame retardants which are also known as PBDEs in the yare 2007. These toxics are produces from various product used in a household. In a survey, it was also found that 40 women, who had children, from the cities like British comunbia, Oregon, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, were treated. The breast milk of these women was found to be contaminated with brominated flame retardants.
Some of the current studies by the department of ecology, Washington stated that the use of these toxic chemicals was banned decades back but still continue to effect the environment, ecology and the food chain was also harmed. From the three studies conducted, Washington states government scientists found toxics beyond the acceptance level in 93 samples which were collected from around 45 sites. These toxic substances included substances like dioxins, chlorinated pesticides, PCB’s, deidrin and DDE. As the result of the study conducted, the department decided to search and find the sources from where these toxins are coming into the Wenatchee River. This is so because this river’s whitefish were found to be the most contaminated with. On the basis of the study conducted in 2007 and an ecology study in the year 2004,the department of health of Washington State has advised its public not to consume the whitefish that comes from Wenatchee River and also from Leavenworth downstream because from there Wenatchee river joins Columbia. This is step to reduce the consumption of the toxics with which the whitefishes are contaminated. Studies show that the tissues of the fish are the most contaminated.
Another step to combat the contamination was the passing of House Bill 2322 on 27th march 2007, by the government. The bill was passed to limit phosphorus substance in dish washing detergents.

In 2010, it was only 9%. Washington State is one of the 7 states that do not impose personal income tax on its population. This means that the government of Washington does not charge franchise tax and corporate income from the people.
Washington State is one among the 18 states whose government has a monopoly regarding the sales of alcohol. There is an exception to this that wine and beer which has alcohol content of less that 20% can be bought only in supermarkets and convenience stores. But, liquors including those that have an alcohol content of less than 20% can be purchased only in privately owned and sate contracted liquor stores.
